Sappy? Happy? Nervous?

In the name of Allah the most gracious, the most merciful.

I've been busy the past few days simply because I'm heading back to Malaysia the day after tomorrow. Crazy right? Time flies without me even noticing. It's been two years, and I've grown in many ways, Alhamdulillah.

I have to say that I am super excited to go back, but at the same time, I feel a little bit sad to leave this beautiful country. Not just the clear blue sky and the green grass field, but also the good friends I've made over here. Sisters, inshAllah we'll be in touch.

One thing that I really like about living in Dunedin is that the people are nice regardless of who you are. Except when they're drunk (they get really stupid!). You can just walk around and say hello to everyone you see, and expect a smile or a reply to your hello in return, which is really calming and you simply feel like you're at home. Ironically, we don't have this in Malaysia. Why, then, do I feel so at home when people treat me so nice?

Anyhow, 'Hujan emas dinegeri orang, hujan batu dinegeri sendiri.....'

I know that there is a huge responsibility on me when I return home. Alhamdulillah given the opportunity to study overseas, I can see Malaysia from the top view. I see what needed to be done and as a future teacher, I can make a change, inshAllah.

Pray for me, that my colleagues and I will be able to improve the ummah thus, Malaysia along the way.
