Alhamdulillah, another Ramadhan :)

In the name of Allah,

It's the last day of July 2011, and insyAllah tomorrow marks the first day of fasting in 1432 Hijr calender. Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah. I cannot thank Allah enough for only with His blessings and will that I am able to meet Ramadhan again this year. Alhamdulillah.

Everyone knows how Ramadhan is a month of super ibadaah and forgiveness. It's the best among months as every good deed one does in this month will be doubled, no not only doubled, more than that I believe. Only Allah is the sole assessor for our fasts :)

So this Ramadhan I wish to improve myself in several areas;

  • to talk less and read the quran more.
  • even when talking, find something good to say.
  • at least qiamullail once in 2 days.
  • don't think so much about the food. distract yourself. Go read lecture notes.

It's quite manageable, isn't it? I think it is. I read somewhere it is important to set goals which are within reach, so that they can be achieved.

May this ramadhan be one that we will not feel guilty getting out from. Ramadhan mubarak people!

you need to do what you want to do.

In the name of Allah,

You keep going until you reach the very end. That's what I've learnt in this life. You finish what you eat, you wash your dishes, and then, only then can you go watch a movie. You plan you assignment, you complete it, you hand it in and then, only then can you go indulge yourself with all the fattening food. You keep going. It doesn't matter how slow you go, so long as you never stop. * you can stop if you need to go to the bathroom.

One thing that I have been telling myself lately is to be brave and do what you want. There's no need to hold back, cause when you hold back, you're distorting, halting you dreams from coming true. It never occurred to me that I would face such situation in life in which I would actually need to take this advice, use it. Of course it's embarrassing, but remember that the guts you've gathered could bring you to your destination. Everything is up to you.

So what if things doesn't go your way? It doesn't mean that it won't. It just means, now isn't the best time for you to have such it. Just that. Don't stop believing in what your heart tells you. They've always been right.  There's nothing to be ashamed of. Always remember that there are always to side of things; good and bad,  things that work and things that might not work. Does it mean that bad people do not need to be loved? that broken things deserve to be in the bin? Don't hate, we're all human. We all have our As and Zs.

Trust yourself and just do what you feel like doing, wani.

friends; find and keep them.

In the name of Allah

I've been blessed with such good friends, I don't know where to start. They're the water to my soup, the ink to my essay and my comfort when I'm sad. I am truly grateful that You have gifted them to my life, when I am far away from home. Their presence makes Dunedin feel like home. Alhamdullillah.

Friends; bringing home closer. --CMSA, 2011.

Summing up Winter Break

In the name of Allah,

It's now July and I should say that I'm felling pretty awesome with its arrival. Although there is only a couple of months left before I leave for Malaysia, for good, good things have happened and I praise Lord for the blessings he has given to me.

Bersatu Games 2011 has ended and so does  the winter trip to Queenstown. God has been so good, providing me with wonderful surprises and making me smile all the way. I met some new acquaintances, interesting people I must say, ad Queenstown snowed heavily when were there!

There are things that I figure, I need to take some actions to make it happen. Small but significant actions. If, however, nothing good comes out of it, I'll stop. I'll promise that. But dear Lord, I really hope it happens.

My family will be heading off to the middle east really soon. They're going to fast and celebrate eid in the Holy land. I am, obviously, envious with the three of them. Bila lah nak sampai turn nih.

Oh yes, class is starting soon. No, not soon. TOMORROW. Felt like it was just yesterday I wrote how happy I was that it was the winter holiday. Anyhow, wish me luck. I hope to have the best semester in Dunedin :)
